Phase E

  • Citric acid 20% Solution (Citric Acid (and) water)

Procedure

In phase A, add water and Arquad PC SV-60 PG and mix at a speed that generates a vortex. Cover and then heat to 80ºC in a water bath. In a separate beaker add phase B ingredients, cover beaker and heat until 80ºC. When both phases are at 80ºC then combine phase A and phase B. Hold at 80°C and mix for 15 minutes. Then begin to cool and at 75ºC add the Armocare VGH-70 followed by the DC200 fluid. Mix thoroughly and keep beaker covered as it continues to cool. Then at 45ºC add the ingredients of phase D. If necessary q.s. with citric acid until the pH is between 4.0-5.0.

Properties

Appearance—Pearlescent emulsion; pH—4.0-5.0; Viscosity—12,000-25,000 cPs.
